Who dat?

I'm Arlan. I'm a chick...who likes chicks. I'm 29. I founded "Your Daily Lesbian Moment" blog in 2006. I do a bunch of other stuff. I also shoot pics. You can find out more at www.facebook.com/DailyArlan! Back To Top

Where do you live?

I am based in Los Angeles. Was born in Jackson, MS and raised in Dallas, TX. Back To Top

Why are you traveling/who sent you?

I sent myself. I'm traveling because I want to give queer folk/same-sex couples the chance to have great photographs taken in a comfortable atmosphere just like everyone else. I also love photography, chicks, and traveling. Per-fect-com-bo! Back To Top

What should I expect?

You should expect a very casual, no pressure photo session with a chick who gets you. My goal is to provide you with some awesome pictures of yourself that you can share with family and friends, use on social network sites, on your business cards, self-promo, Christmas cards, etc. I'll probably say "that's what she said" a LOT and giggle to myself. I'll probably eat a lot of caramel and/or Hershey's Hugs around you. Oh yeah, and I'll probably think you're hot. Do not be alarmed. Back To Top

Where will my session be?

In each city, I will choose one outdoor location to use for the entire day. In most cases, this will be in the city center and as close to public transpo as possible. I will email you with more information about the location after you've reserved a session. This way there will be more privacy during our shoot. Back To Top

How long is my session?

Each session on my travel dates is 30 minutes. Back To Top

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time so that you can check in with my assistant and be fully prepared for your 30 minute session. Arriving earlier than that is not recommended. Back To Top

Outdoors? What if it rains?

I like to shoot outdoors because of the natural light. But if it rains on the particular day I am in your city, I will move the sessions to an indoor location and will have the proper lighting equipment to achieve great results. Back To Top

Do you provide make - up?

I work with select make up artists that are available for an additional fee (usually between $75-150, depending on the city/date). If you're interested in this service, email me at shotsbyarlan@gmail.com and I can give more specific information. Back To Top

How many pictures will you take of me and when will I get them?

During our session, I will shoot approx 50 frames (I shoot selectively). Out of these, I will handpick 10-20 that I think are the best. You will receive your finished photographs within 7 days of our session. Back To Top

Why can't I walk out with all of the photos you took at the end of the session?

Once we've had our session, the work/art is only half over. I will work with the chosen photographs in post (adding subtle effects, etc) and then send them to you either on a disc or through email, depending on your resolution needs. Back To Top

What is an "extended session"?

These sessions last 1.5 hours and yield 20-50 photographs. In most cases, you can change your wardrobe for up to 3 "looks." Back To Top

Once I've reserved a session, how can we discuss what types of photographs I want and/or anything else about my session?

Email me at shotbyarlan@gmail.com with your name, city, session time and any questions you may have! I will get back to you as soon as possible. Back To Top
